Portrait 18: Wiki

"Beauty and glory often come from loss and ruin." - Wiki, a hiker

Wiki and I sat by a stream and ate lunch together one day. During our half hour conversation, he and I covered love and tragedy, loss and redemption, depression and inspiration. As two total strangers, we quickly jumped through many personal subjects. The conversation was incredibly varied but extremely impactful. It's one of the things I love most about trail life.

But I feel that it would be a disservice to write a lengthy story about a man with such straightforward eloquence. Instead, I'll leave another quote from another eloquent man: "Brevity is the soul of wit." - William Shakespeare
